Webuild secures €531m contract to construct Lot 1 of SS106 Jonica road in Calabria, Italy. The project includes 17km of road, 15 viaducts, three overpasses, and a 1.4km tunnel. Up to 500 workers will be engaged, with a focus on safety, environmental impact, and digital site management.

The company’s commitment to advancing critical infrastructure in Southern Italy includes involvement in 20 projects totaling approximately €16bn and supporting 9,500 jobs. The SS106 Jonica project, commissioned by ANAS, aims to improve transportation and create new roadway totaling 55km. Mega Lot 3, nearing 80% completion, involves over 1,200 workers.

Webuild has also been awarded the Paola-Cosenza Doubling railway project, constructing 22km of rail line, including the Santomarco Tunnel. The company’s overall contribution to the region includes job creation, technology implementation, and environmental considerations in construction projects.
