Scout hires former Bentley exec as COO, names new production boss

Scout Motors has hired Jan-Henrik Lafrentz as its new COO, coming from Bentley Motors. Lafrentz brings extensive experience from his roles at VW Group, including finance, sales, and marketing. He will support Scout’s growth as it transitions from an EV startup to full-scale operations. Scout also appointed Oliver Wollinsky as chief production officer. Wollinsky, who joined Scout in 2024, will oversee production at the $2 billion assembly plant in South Carolina, with output expected to begin in 2027. Lafrentz and Wollinsky’s leadership will play a crucial role in Scout’s expansion plans.
