Malaysia Bourse May Reverse Tuesday’s Losses

The Malaysia stock market ended a three-day winning streak, dropping 0.88% on Tuesday. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index closed at 1,486.25 points, with losses in financial and industrial sectors. However, the market is expected to rebound on Wednesday amid optimism about U.S.-China trade talks. In the U.S., major indexes surged on Tuesday, with the Dow gaining 2.66%, the NASDAQ rising 2.71%, and the S&P 500 jumping 2.51%. Positive earnings reports and hopes of trade de-escalation fueled the rally. Crude oil prices also surged after new sanctions on Iran. Malaysia will release March consumer price data today.
