State Street reports 39% surge in Q1 2025 profit

State Street reported a 39% increase in net income, reaching $644m in Q1 2025 compared to $463m in the prior year. Total revenue rose by 5% to $3.28bn. Assets under management (AUM) reached $4.7tn, up 9% from Q1 2024, while assets under custody and/or administration (AUC/A) increased to $46.73tn. Net interest income (NII) remained stable at $714m. Total expenses fell by 3% to $2.45bn. Servicing fees rose 4%, and management fees increased by 10%. The firm returned $320m to shareholders in Q1 2025 through share repurchases and dividends. State Street’s CET1 ratio was 11.0%, with positive fee revenue growth and expense discipline contributing to strong financial performance.
