Volkswagen plans to export vehicles from China to Asian markets, South America, and the Middle East, aiming to utilize unused manufacturing capacity in the country. The company will not export to the US or Europe, focusing on competitive models for other regions. In China, Volkswagen is developing a new platform for battery-electric cars and EVs with range extenders to adapt to evolving market demands. At the Shanghai auto show, Volkswagen will showcase its first AI-powered, highly automated driving system designed for China’s traffic conditions.
