First Atlantic Nickel Corp. reports results from drill hole AN-24-04, confirming 0.23% nickel and 0.31% chromium over 366 meters, indicating a 500-meter-wide mineralized zone in Newfoundland. The phase 1 drilling program at the RPM Zone identifies a major new nickel system, with metallurgical testing underway to assess magnetic separation processing.

Drill hole AN-24-04 demonstrates consistent nickel mineralization across a 500-meter width, ending in mineralization, suggesting further expansion potential. Phase 2 drilling aims to expand the RPM Zone, evaluate vertical mineralization, and explore continuity with the Chrome Pond area. The program targets a larger mineralized system along the 30-kilometer ultramafic ophiolite trend.

Awaruite, a sulfur-free nickel-iron alloy, found in the RPM Zone, offers a smelter-free processing solution for nickel concentrates. The material’s unique properties support cleaner processing methods, aligning with North America’s critical minerals supply chain objectives. First Atlantic Nickel aims to contribute responsibly sourced nickel for stainless steel and EV industries.
