Air Liquide saw a 1.7% year-over-year sales increase in Q1 despite challenges, with strong performance in most regions. Industrial merchant sales grew 1%, while electronics sales rose 4% and healthcare sales increased by 5%. The company generated EUR 131 million in efficiencies and remains on track to expand its operating margin by 460 basis points by 2026. Air Liquide is well-positioned to withstand tariff-related uncertainty due to its business model and long-term customer agreements. The company’s record EUR 4.5 billion backlog is expected to drive solid revenue growth in the coming years.
