Thunes, a cross-border payments company, secures $150m in Series D funding led by Apis Partners and Vitruvian Partners for US expansion, with a significant valuation increase and pending regulatory approval for licences in 50 US states. Thunes CEO Floris de Kort highlights the company’s revenue run-rate of $150 million and positive EBITDA, setting a new industry standard.
The funding round follows the launch of Thunes Business Payments, enhancing the payment experience for the Direct Global Network members. Proton Partners served as the financial advisor for the transaction.
