Adjusted earnings were $179 million, or $0.77 per share, exceeding analysts’ expectations of $0.61 per share. The company’s revenue fell 3.8% to $7.830 billion from $8.137 billion last year. Nucor Corp.’s GAAP earnings showed a significant decrease compared to the previous year, with earnings of $156 million versus $845 million and EPS of $0.67 versus $3.46.
