Hiscox appoints Phil Withey as CTO for London Market, effective June. Withey will define technology strategy, oversee trading systems, and drive investments in data, digitalisation, and AI. He will report to Hiscox Group CIO and London Market CEO. Withey brings experience from LSEG and aims to support Hiscox’s ambitions.

Withey joins Hiscox after a decade at LSEG, holding senior technology roles. He led architecture for FTSE Russell and orchestrated transformation programmes. Withey’s experience at Barclays Capital and Threadneedle Investments brings a broad perspective on technology in financial services.

Hiscox UK migrated to a new cloud-native architecture by Sapiens in March 2025, using Kubernetes to enhance operational productivity and service delivery. Hiscox continues to innovate, with Withey’s appointment aiming to further develop products and services through technology advancements.
