ACCA offered recommendations to enhance SME audits, emphasizing the importance of bridging the expectation gap in the UK audit market and promoting the benefits of investing in audits. They suggested reassessing the proportionality of UK International Standards on Auditing and conducting focused research on ethical standards for SME activities. In April 2025, ACCA partnered with the Astana International Financial Centre Green Finance Centre to host a seminar in Kazakhstan on sustainability disclosures for regulators and business leaders in Central Asia.
