The markets closed mostly mixed today, with the Dow up 0.35%, the S&P 500 up 0.15%, the Nasdaq down 0.09%, and the Russell 2000 down 0.46%. Bond yields settled at 4.16% on the 10-year and 3.61% on 2s. March PCE numbers remained steady, with headline PCE at 0.0% and core PCE at +2.6% year over year.
Pending Home Sales for March surged +6.1%, the highest in 6 months, with the South leading at +9.8%. Meta Platforms beat earnings estimates with $6.43 per share and $42.31 billion in revenues. Microsoft also exceeded expectations, with earnings up 18% year over year to $3.46 billion and revenues of $70.1 billion. Qualcomm beat estimates but saw shares fall -6.3% after issuing a lower revenue guide for Q3.
