Verizon leads Dow, Nike down, NVIDIA also down, Caterpillar up slightly.

Verizon Communications leads as the best-performing Dow Jones Industrial Average component, with shares up 1.6% in early trading. Year to date, Verizon has gained 9.1%. On the flip side, Nike is the worst performer, down 3.8% today and 26.8% for the year. NVIDIA is down 3.7% and Caterpillar is up 0.5% on the day.
