Meta Platforms has launched Meta AI as a separate app, utilizing Llama 4 technology to provide personalized and natural interactions. Voice features allow users to multitask, and the app integrates with other Meta platforms for easy access. It also offers a social touch by showing updates from people and places users care about.

The Llama 4 model in Meta AI aims to make conversations feel more personal and natural, allowing users to generate and edit images through voice and text. A demo of full-duplex speech technology is available in select countries, enabling the AI to respond more like a real conversation.

Meta AI can search the web for recommendations, help users explore topics, and stay connected with friends and family. The app features a Discover feed where users can find and share popular AI prompts, with the option to remix and personalize them. It is also integrated across Meta’s platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
