Conagra Brands sells Chef Boyardee brand to Hometown Food Company for $600 million

Conagra Brands, Inc. has decided to sell its Chef Boyardee brand to Hometown Food Company for $600 million in cash. The deal includes the Milton, PA facility and all assets related to the brand. Proceeds will go towards debt repayment. The transaction could be four percent dilutive to adjusted earnings per share for fiscal year 2025. The acquisition is set to close in Conagra’s fiscal year 2026, while Brynwood expects it to close in the second quarter of 2025. In pre-market trading, Conagra’s stock is at $24.61, down 0.40 percent on the NYSE.
