Canam Steel Corporation acquires Vescom International, rebranding their composite floor system as Vescom Floor System. The system has been used in numerous projects since 1982, catering to various building types. CEO Brad Lazorka highlights the strength and versatility of the system, enhancing CSC’s offerings for multistorey projects.

The Vescom Floor System integrates custom-fabricated steel joists and decking with mesh and concrete. Its innovative design eliminates the need for shoring or temporary forms, making it a highly efficient floor system. CSC emphasizes the mechanical bond between the top chord and concrete slab, positioning the system as a market leader.

CSC’s acquisition of Vescom International marks the launch of the Building Solutions team, focusing on multi-residential construction projects. Led by sales manager Rick Armando, the team will offer the Vescom Floor System, Reveal [Dovetail] Floor System, and standard deck options. CSC operates six manufacturing facilities with in-house engineering and project management teams.
