Malaysia Stock Market Tipped To Open In The Green

The Malaysia stock market bounced higher ahead of the Labor Day holiday, with the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index just above 1,540 points. Global markets are upbeat, with support from oil and tech companies. The KLCI finished sharply higher on Wednesday, with gains in financials, plantations, properties, and industrials. The index jumped 1.63 percent to close at 1,540.22. Wall Street opened higher on Thursday, with the Dow up 0.21 percent, NASDAQ up 1.52 percent, and S&P 500 up 0.63 percent. Crude oil prices rose after President Trump threatened sanctions on countries purchasing Iranian oil.
