Sierra Metals reviews increased takeover bid of C$1.15 per share from Alpayana

Sierra Metals Inc. has received a revised takeover bid from Alpayana S.A.C., increasing the offer from C$1.11 to C$1.15 per share. The company’s board is reviewing the new terms and will provide a recommendation to shareholders soon. Alpayana’s updated proposal extends the bid expiry to May 12, 2025, but remains subject to conditions at their discretion. Sierra Metals stock closed flat at C$1.07 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Friday.
