Private equity firm Apax Partners is in talks to buy Finastra’s treasury and capital markets business for around $2 billion. Final bids have been submitted, with Apax considered the favorite, though another party could still emerge as the winner. Finastra, created in 2017 by Vista, provides software for financial institutions to process trades and manage risk. Despite market volatility from the trade war, deals in sectors like financial software continue, as seen with KKR’s recent $3.1 billion agreement for OSTTRA.
