Indian shares saw modest gains on Monday as global trade tensions eased and foreign inflows continued. U.S. President Trump hinted at possible trade agreements, boosting optimism for a U.S.-India deal. Crude prices fell sharply after OPEC+ increased production, leading to concerns about oversupply. The BSE Sensex closed up 0.37% at 80,796.84, while the NSE Nifty ended 0.47% higher at 24,461.15. Mid-cap and small-cap indexes rose 1.5% and 1.2% respectively. Adani Ports and Bajaj FinServ were top gainers, with Indraprastha Gas up nearly 7% after a CNG price hike. Apollo Micro Systems climbed 7.2% after acquiring IDL Explosives Ltd. for Rs. 107 crores.
