Tether AI, the new artificial intelligence platform from Tether, will allow payments in major cryptocurrencies like USDt and Bitcoin. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino announced the imminent launch of Tether AI on May 5, integrating with USDt and Bitcoin for P2P transactions. The platform will be open-source, decentralized, and adaptable to any hardware. Tether AI will also incorporate P2P crypto payments with its wallet development kit (WDK), enabling self-custodial holding of assets.
The launch of Tether AI follows Tether’s expansion into the AI space with the introduction of Tether Data in April 2024. Tether’s AI division has been working on various AI apps like AI Translate and AI Voice Assistant. Paolo Ardoino aims for Tether AI to provide the ideal technological foundation for AI, inspired by sci-fi author Isaac Asimov’s vision.
