Zurich Insurance Group AG reported a 5% increase in Property & Casualty insurance revenue and gross written premiums for the first quarter. Gross written premiums in P&C rose to $13.32 billion, supported by rate increases and strong profitability. P&C insurance revenue grew to $10.78 billion. In Life, gross premiums and deposits increased by 18% to $9.36 billion, driven by new business premiums. The Farmers Exchanges saw a 5% increase in gross written premiums. Natural catastrophe losses impacted the combined ratio by 3.2%, mainly due to losses from California wildfires. Zurich remains focused on disciplined execution and long-term capital allocation.
