Panasonic Holdings reported a decrease in fiscal 2025 net profit to shareholders, down 17.5% to 366.205 billion yen. Earnings per share also dropped to 156.83 yen. Despite a 0.5% decrease in net sales to 8.46 trillion yen, the company saw increased sales in Lifestyle, Connect, and Industry. For fiscal 2026, Panasonic projects basic earnings per share of 132.79 yen, adjusted operating profit of 500.0 billion yen, and net sales of 7.8 trillion yen. The company is focusing on management reform to improve profit by at least 150 billion yen compared to fiscal 2025 and achieve an adjusted operating profit of at least 600 billion yen in fiscal 2027. Panasonic plans to optimize personnel, targeting 10,000 employees for consolidation mainly in fiscal 2026.
