Oil prices are rising as optimism increases for U.S.-China trade talks

Oil prices rose in early trading as optimism grows over trade talks between the U.S. and China. Brent crude increased by 0.4% to $61.34 a barrel, while WTI was up 0.5% to $58.34 a barrel. Senior officials from both countries are set to meet in Switzerland for direct talks. In other news, the U.S. is expected to announce a trade deal framework with the U.K. later on Thursday.
