CSX Corporation has reached a tentative agreement with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) for a new five-year single-system agreement covering 3,400 locomotive engineers. This is the first agreement of its kind for CSX and reflects competitive pay, improved healthcare, and work rule changes. The agreement aligns with wage increases and health benefits from previous agreements with 13 other unions, covering 75% of CSX unionized workers if ratified. Negotiations are ongoing with SMART-TD to consolidate territories and workforces for a single-system collective agreement.
