Rogers Sugar Inc. announces a five-year agreement with Alberta Sugar Beet Growers for the supply of sugar beets to its Taber sugar refining plant, covering the 2025 to 2029 crops. The Taber plant, the only sugar beet processing facility in Canada, is supported by 200 Southern Alberta farm families, ensuring all sugar produced is 100% Canadian. Mike Walton, President and CEO of Lantic Inc. and Rogers Sugar Inc., expressed satisfaction with the agreement, stating it will meet the needs of customers in Western Canada. Rogers Sugar operates cane sugar refineries in Montreal and Vancouver, and a sugar beet processing facility in Taber, Alberta.
