On Friday, Lyft, Inc. (LYFT) saw its stock prices surge by 28.08% to $16.65 per share after reporting profitability in the first quarter. The company achieved a net income of $2.6 million, a significant turnaround from last year’s $31.5 million net loss, with revenues increasing by 13.5% to $1.45 billion. Gross bookings also grew by 12.7% to $4.28 billion. For the second quarter, Lyft expects ridership to grow mid-teens year-on-year, with gross bookings targeted between $4.41 billion and $4.57 billion.
