Charlie Shrem, co-founder of BitInstant, hints at relaunching The Bitcoin Faucet, a website that once gave away up to 5 BTC per day for solving captchas. The original site, created by Gavin Andresen in 2010, ultimately gave away 19,700 BTC. Shrem’s 21million.com aims to revive this tradition by giving away Bitcoin to users who solve captchas, emphasizing Bitcoin’s success. While Shrem’s faucet is not yet functional and details on rewards are scarce, the relaunch could serve as a nod to Bitcoin’s origins and attract new retail users. Several members of the Bitcoin community have shown support for the idea.
