Franklin Templeton has launched a U.S. megacap ETF, the Franklin US Mega Cap 100 UCITS ETF (USMC), listed on multiple stock exchanges with a low expense ratio of 0.09%. USMC tracks the Solactive US Mega Cap 100 Select index, featuring top holdings like Nvidia Corp, Apple Inc, and Amazon.com Inc.
Caroline Baron, head of ETF distribution for EMEA at Franklin Templeton, highlighted the historical market performance of the largest 100 securities in U.S. equities, offering a distinct risk-return profile for investors. The rise of ETFs focusing on top constituents in various indices is evident in Europe, with other companies like BlackRock launching similar products.
In addition to the U.S. megacap ETF, Franklin Templeton has also introduced S&P 500 and S&P World ETFs with ESG tilts, providing investors with a range of options for U.S. equity market exposure. The Franklin S&P 500 Screened UCITS ETF (SP5S) and Franklin S&P World Screened UCITS ETF (SPWR) have total expense ratios of 0.09% and 0.14%, respectively.
The expansion of Franklin Templeton’s U.S. equity suite in Europe reflects the growing demand for ETFs that offer exposure to top companies within various indices, providing investors with a range of options to enhance their portfolios.
