Bluebird Bio, Carlyle, and SK Capital Partners, LP, have amended their definitive agreement. Bluebird Bio, Inc. shares are trading higher on Wednesday. Stockholders can elect to receive $5.00 per share in cash. The transaction is expected to be completed promptly following the ongoing tender offer. Bluebird received an unsolicited proposal from Ayrmid Ltd. for $4.50 per share. Ayrmid did not submit a binding proposal. BLUE stock is up 50.3% to $4.98.
