Efforts to combat inflation in service costs stalled in April, despite airfare decreases. This may delay interest rate cuts by the Fed. The BLS reported a 0.3% increase in service costs in April, up from 0.1% in March. Rising shelter, transportation, and medical care prices contributed to the uptick.
