Retail sales in the US slowed in April due to Trump’s tariffs, with a 0.1% increase compared to March’s 1.7% jump. The control group fell 0.2%, below expectations of a 0.3% rise. Sporting goods and hobby stores saw a 2.5% drop in sales, while department stores fell 1.4%. Experts predicted the decline after March’s surge.
