High Grade at Globex’s Carp Fluorspar Property, Nevada
From GlobeNewswire: 2025-05-15 09:00:00
Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. has acquired a 100% interest in 14 unpatented lode claims in Nevada, known for fluorspar production since 1957, with estimated production of 44,900 tons grading 69% CaF2 up to 1971. Recent mapping and sampling show high-grade fluorite ranging from 49.83% to 88.15% CaF2.
The mineralization may be controlled by regional structures and fault zones. Samples collected by Globex’s geologist returned very high fluorite grades, with anomalous gold also present. Fluorspar is crucial for various products like toothpaste, computers, and steel production, with China being the largest producer globally.
World production of fluorspar is 5.7 Mt to 6.0 Mt, mainly supplied by China, Mexico, Mongolia, South Africa, Spain, and Germany. Globex’s recent acquisition holds promising potential for high-grade fluorite, contributing to the global supply chain for industries relying on hydrofluoric acid and aluminum production.
