Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens quarterback and owner of the Maryland Colts in the National Thoroughbred League, aims to win championships in both football and horse racing. The NTL features a team-based concept where points determine the winner. Jackson joins other NFL quarterbacks in sports team ownership. He hosted a community day to engage young people in horse racing careers.

Jackson’s Colts placed third in the NTL season opener. His love for horses dates back to his childhood in Florida, despite attending college near Churchill Downs without visiting. The NTL is part of a push to modernize horse racing, with major renovations planned at race tracks hosting the Triple Crown events. Churchill Downs, Pimlico, and Belmont Park are all investing in significant upgrades to attract new fans and enhance the racing experience.
