Regional Management’s Q1 Earnings Beat Estimates, Stock Dips 11.6% – May 16, 2025

Regional Management Corp. (RM) saw shares decline 11.6% after reporting better-than-expected first-quarter 2025 results. Although earnings per share (EPS) of 70 cents beat estimates, it was down from the prior year. Total revenues increased 6% year over year to $153 million. Interest and fee income rose 6%, net insurance income increased 2.9%, and other income grew 13.3%. Provision for credit losses rose 24.9%. The company recorded a net income of $7 million. RM bought back $6.5 million in shares and announced a dividend of 30 cents per share for the second quarter. Management aims for portfolio growth and increased net income in 2025.
