The Taiwan stock market rebounded on Friday, gaining 113.49 points or 0.52 percent to finish at 21,843.69. Financial and plastics stocks led the gains, while technology stocks were mixed. The positive trend was supported by optimism over tariffs and trade outlooks in global markets. In the U.S., major averages ended higher with the Dow up 0.78 percent, NASDAQ up 0.52 percent, and S&P 500 up 0.70 percent. The NASDAQ surged 7.2 percent for the week, fueled by news of the U.S.-China trade deal. Crude oil prices also rose on Friday, with WTI crude up 1.4 percent to $62.49 a barrel.
