IT stocks drag Indian shares slightly lower, while some companies see gains and losses

Indian shares were flat to slightly lower on Monday, with IT stocks leading losses following a U.S. credit rating downgrade. The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.1 percent, while the NSE Nifty index remained steady. IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL Technologies, and Infosys all saw around a 1 percent decline. Vodafone Idea dropped nearly 4 percent after moving to the Supreme Court over USD 5 billion in dues. Protean eGov Technologies shares fell 20 percent, while Divi’s Lab reported a 26 percent increase in quarterly net profit. Bajaj Auto rallied 2.3 percent, and Delhivery soared 8.6 percent after swinging to a profit in Q4. KEC International added nearly 2 percent and JSW Steel rose 0.6 percent on fund raising reports.
