Bitcoin network hashrate rose 2% in May, miner profitability improved with BTC price increase.

The Bitcoin network hashrate increased by 2% in the first half of May, reaching an average of 885 EH/s, according to JPMorgan. Miner profitability improved as BTC prices rose, with a 13% increase in daily mining profitability. U.S.-listed miners maintained a 30.5% share of the network hashrate, with a 1.1% increase from April. The total market cap of 13 U.S.-listed bitcoin mining stocks tracked by the bank rose by 24% or $4.6 billion this month. Bitdeer (BTDR) saw a 43% gain, while Greenidge (GREE) had a 5% decline.
