7-Eleven has hired Terri Micklin as senior vice president of store development. Micklin will oversee the strategic planning, development, and maintenance of all 7-Eleven stores, supporting the company’s plan to open over 1,000 new stores in the next five years. She officially joined 7-Eleven on May 12.

Micklin previously served as president of GetGo Café + Markets before leaving in March. GetGo’s 270 c-stores are set to be integrated into Alimentation Couche-Tard, parent company of Circle K, after a $1.6 billion acquisition last August. Micklin brings experience from Wawa and ExxonMobil to her new role at 7-Eleven.

Micklin’s hiring is part of a series of recent executive changes at 7-Eleven. The company has made several shifts at the SVP level, appointing new leaders for its franchised stores, vault and proprietary beverages, center store and field merchandising, and tobacco and services. Micklin’s experience and expertise are expected to play a key role in 7-Eleven’s expansion plans.
