Westhaven Gold Corp. begins summer exploration activities on multiple projects in British Columbia

Westhaven Gold Corp. begins summer exploration activities on four gold projects in Southern British Columbia, covering 61,512 hectares. A 3,000m exploration drill program is expected to start in June at the Shovelnose property. Recent funding of $4.6M positions Westhaven to advance properties and build on preliminary economic assessment findings.

Field exploration is ongoing at Skoonka North, Skoonka, and Prospect Valley properties, targeting low-sulphidation epithermal gold-silver mineralization. Recent drilling at the Certes and Corral targets on the Shovelnose property confirmed multiple preserved epithermal systems. An initial 3,000m summer drilling program is set to begin at Shovelnose in June.

Winter exploration drilling at Shovelnose consisted of 4 holes testing the Certes and Corral target areas. Drill holes revealed the presence of low sulphidation epithermal mineralized systems, warranting further drilling. Detailed evaluations and follow-up prospecting are planned in identified target areas.

Core samples from drilling are analyzed by ALS’s Kamloops facility using various methods. Results are evaluated for quality assurance and control. Westhaven Gold Corp. focuses on exploring low sulphidation, high-grade, epithermal gold mineralization in the Spences Bridge Gold Belt. The Shovelnose Gold Project is the most advanced property, with a recent Preliminary Economic Assessment validating its potential.
