Charter Communications Inc. and Cox Communications are merging to become a leading US cable and broadband operator. The deal values Cox Communications at $34.5 billion, with Charter acquiring Cox’s commercial fiber, managed IT, and cloud businesses. The new company will rebrand as Cox Communications, serving 12 million customers under the Spectrum brand.

The merger aims to enhance innovation, provide competitively priced products, and improve customer service.
