Stocks slipped on Tuesday as bond yields rose, with the Dow down 0.2%, S&P 500 down 0.3%, and Nasdaq down 0.4%. The 10-year Treasury note yield rose to nearly 4.5%, and the 30-year yield to 4.96%. Moody’s downgrade of U.S. sovereign debt pushed long-term Treasury yields to the high end of the year’s range.
