The Thai stock market has been volatile, with the Stock Exchange of Thailand sitting just below the 1,180-point mark. Global markets are negative due to rising bond yields. On Wednesday, the SET closed lower, with losses from various sectors. The index finished at 1,179.81, with 293 decliners and 198 gainers. Wall Street also saw a sharp decline, with the Dow dropping 816.80 points. Concerns over bond yields persist, as a new U.S. tax bill could add trillions to the federal debt. Crude oil futures also fell after an unexpected increase in U.S. crude oil inventories.
