Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has agreed to sell the majority of its Goodyear Chemical business to Gemspring Capital Management for approximately $650 million. The deal includes facilities in Texas and Ohio, with a long-term supply agreement. The transaction is expected to close by late 2025, with proceeds going towards reducing leverage and funding the Goodyear Forward transformation plan. Goodyear will retain other Chemical facilities in New York and Texas, along with product rights. The sale aims to streamline operations and focus on strategic initiatives.
