Goldman Sachs is merging three Asian investment banking businesses into a single unit to enhance regional deals advisory. Iain Drayton will lead the integrated Asia Pacific investment banking unit, working closely with other key leaders. The move aims to improve client engagement and career opportunities within the firm.

The restructuring will allow for more effective deployment of global expertise and increased career opportunities. Drayton, a Goldman Sachs veteran, joined the firm in 2006 and has risen through the ranks. Goldman Sachs currently holds the top spot in the Asia Pacific equity capital market league table this year, as per Dealogic data.
