Citigroup has launched Citi AI in Hong Kong, providing AI tools for employees. The tools aid in operations like information retrieval and document summarization. Citi AI is part of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s push for responsible AI adoption in banking. Currently available to 150,000 employees in 11 countries, with plans for further expansion. Recently, Citi announced plans to cut up to 200 IT contractor roles in China to hire their own staff globally for improved risk management and data governance.
