Cryptocurrency investment products surged, with $3.3 billion inflows last week, totaling a record $10.8 billion year-to-date. Bitcoin ETPs led with $2.9 billion inflows. Ether ETPs saw $326 million inflows, while XRP ETPs faced $37.2 million outflows. Despite XRP’s underperformance, total crypto ETP assets reached $187.5 billion, reflecting strong investor interest.

The massive inflows into crypto ETPs continue to break records, reaching $7.5 billion by mid-May and surpassing the previous peak of $7.2 billion in February 2025. This milestone fully recovered the $7 billion outflows seen during the price correction in February and March. The surge reflects growing concerns over the US economy, prompting investors to diversify into digital assets.
