The UK-based exchange plans to open an office in Nigeria in Q2 2025, focusing on Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. Nigeria and Ghana are leading in crypto regulation, with Nigeria enacting new securities laws for digital assets.
South Africa emerges as a crypto leader in Africa, positioning itself as a regional hub for digital assets. The country’s strong legal infrastructure and business-friendly environment make it appealing for crypto companies. The FSCA has approved 59 crypto platform licenses by March 2024, with over 260 applications under review.
