Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) launches personal cyber insurance coverage to protect individuals from online threats, including credit card fraud, cyberattacks, online shopping fraud, and identity theft. The policy also covers theft of funds and ransom payments in cases of cyber extortion, aligning with Qatar’s National Cyber Security Strategy and National Vision 2030. Customers can add this coverage for an annual premium of QR100. QIC partnered with Ooredoo Group in November 2024 to develop new insurance solutions, leveraging QIC’s risk management expertise with Ooredoo’s telecommunications infrastructure.
