Slide Insurance files for IPO with US SEC

Florida-based insurer Slide Insurance has filed for an IPO with the SEC, aiming to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol SLDE. Launched in 2021, the company focuses on coastal property and casualty insurance along the Atlantic seaboard, with a business model centered on direct-to-consumer sales and underwriting strategies.
The IPO is intended to raise capital for Slide Insurance to expand its underwriting capacity, support growth, and address general corporate needs. In Q1 2025, the company reported a net income of $92.5m, up from $54.7m in the previous year, with total revenue reaching $281.5m and gross premiums written at $278.2m.
Barclays Capital and Morgan Stanley are the underwriters and joint book-running managers for the offering, with legal counsel provided by Davis Polk & Wardwell. Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom represents the underwriters. Slide Insurance’s IPO filing signifies a milestone in the company’s growth strategy and market presence.
